About Forest Hill Vineyard
Originally planted in 1965 this vineyard was the first to be planted in the modern era in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. The first wines were made in 1972 and subsequent vintages have proven the wonderful acceptability of Riesling and Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz to this region. The plantings of wine grape varieties opened up a completely new industry for the entire Great Southern region. Production 40 years on from the original plantings has seen the introduction of Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay but the strength of the Forest Hill brand remains with Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling and Chardonnay.

Forest Hill Cabernet Sauvignon 2006
Very deep rich red in colour. Aromas of intense, ripe primary fruit with blackberry and black currant dominant. The palate is equally rich, with intense flavours of blackberry, and provides a wonderful mouthfeel of perfect ripeness within a great structure. Firm persistence of flavour is emphasised on the attractive finish!
