About Old Kent River

Located in the Great Southern region near Frankland River the Old Kent River vineyard produces Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Shiraz. Originally planted in 1985 the Old Kent River label has been very successful within the Australian market for its Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Chardonnay production.

Very deep blackish purple and bright in colour. Aromas of spice with some lovely savoury characters. Big intense style, with fresh lively persistence of rich flavour followed by a delightfully clean finish.

Deep brickish red in colour. Fresh lively aromas of black cherry dominate. Firm, full flavour holds well on the palate with good ripe black cherry persisting through the finish.

The aromas of Asian spices, white pepper are followed by intense flavours of blackberry, raspberry and cinnamon notes with a lovely fresh fruit character. Wignalls Pinot Noir 2009
Produced by one of the pioneers of this variety in West Australia this wine displays lovely intensity of dark cherries, black plums and strawberries with complex earthy aromas and hints of cinnamon. The palate shows consistent earthy, gamey characters with wild truffles and mushroom tones. Underlying caramel and chocolate characters are also evident.
